New this year, Below 100: How to Cut Police Line-of-Duty Deaths in Half, NOW, sponsored by Dyneema, is both a presentation and a challenge from Law Officer Editor-in-Chief Dale Stockton and Capt. Scot Haug of the Post Falls (Idaho) Police Department. The Below 100 mission: Reduce line-of-duty deaths to below 100 per year, a level not seen since 1944. In this session on Thursday, Jan. 20, from 8:15–11:00 a.m., Stockton and Haug will review five key areas that can reduce police line-of-duty deaths and give you tangible, practical ways to implement the necessary changes that will save lives.
Back by popular demand, Dave Spaulding will present Developing the Combative Mind on Monday, Jan. 17, from 7–8 p.m. Being mentally prepared is the No. 1 requirement for officers, and this session will introduce attendees to the concepts needed to begin preparing one’s mind for potential conflict. You can also catch Spaulding speak on Tuesday, Jan. 18, from 8:15–9:15 a.m. on the topic of Enhancing Tactical Pistol Skills.
Also, on Monday evening, Robert Hindi will give a presentation on the Hindi Duty Belt S.A.F.E.T.Y. System.
