Intelligent Imaging
ATN’s OTIS-17 multi-purpose thermal imaging system can be placed on a headset or helmet, connected to another monocular to build a binocular system, mounted as a riflescope or used as a handheld device. It provides high-resolution digital thermal imaging through total darkness, fog, smoke and most visual obscurants. Camouflage and bright lights won’t affect the sensitivity of the OTIS-17. It’s also waterproof, and has video and computer output capabilities.

Distance Defined
Bosch Measuring Tools’ GLR225 laser distance measurer has a range of up to 230 feet and an accuracy of 0.06 inches at 33 feet. The 230-foot range will satisfy most interior and exterior applications. The GLR225 gives users the flexibility of measuring from four distinct reference points—from the front or back of the laser, from a 1/16" threaded tripod mount or from a swing-out extension pin, which is ideal for measuring from corners or inside channels. The GLR225 comes with a soft belt-loop case, a hand strap and four AAA batteries.

Piston-Driven System
The Rock River Arms carbine and pistol employ the patent-pending Piston-Driven System (PDS). Utilizing a purpose-designed bolt carrier, an adjustable gas piston and an over-the-barrel spring and guide-rod arrangement, the PDS is able to completely do away with the traditional recoil system, making for an accurate, fast-handling and versatile weapon platform. The PDS carbine has a full-length, top-mounting rail from the rear of the receiver to the regulator housing, allowing for flexible placement of numerous optics, lights, lasers and other accessories.

State-of-the-Art Sights
Meprolight’s NOA uncooled thermal sights (with 4X and 7X magnification) contain an advanced electronic level indicator that balances the sight for effective long-range shooting. They can withstand heavy weapon recoil and enable bidirectional communications with range finders and wireless recording systems. The NOA sights, with their high resolution and digital zoom, detect targets in urban or densely vegetated areas. They’re equipped with automatic ballistic compensation based on range, as well as type of weapon and ammunition. NOA sights, which allow for up to 10 hours of continuous operation, enable wired or wireless transmission of streaming video and real-time video recording, in addition to integrated capturing and storage of still images.

Breathable Boots
Wellco Enterprises has introduced a new Guardian GTX series of footwear for law enforcement professionals. The new line combines comfort with traction and protection against the harsh elements that patrol and tactical officers encounter on the job. Wellco incorporated GORE-TEX footwear fabric into the boot’s construction to provide waterproof, breathable protection. This fabric keeps feet drier and more comfortable by preventing exposure to rain and inclement weather while allowing moisture vapor (perspiration) to escape.
