Mobile Command Center

LDV’s new S-Series Mobile Command Center (MCC) is built on a Freightliner chassis with a 40-foot aluminum van body. The S-Series MCC comes standard with LDV’s exclusive Intel-I-Touch vehicle management system. The Intel-I-Touch is a single-touch activation panel that controls all operating and power management systems. It has a built-in start-up and shut-down mode to ensure proper deployment sequences and to reduce deployment time by up to 70%. All wiring is military-spec and runs through plastic conduit to simplify repairs and upgrades. The S-Series MCC has an impressive list of available equipment upgrades that can be installed and delivered in less than 30 days.

Mobile Communication Unit

Dodgen Mobile Technologies has recently introduced several new models of police and fire vehicles built on the F-450 and F-550 Ford truck chassis. These selected Ford models have gas or diesel engines, factory-installed four-wheel drive, increased leg room for both the driver and passenger seats and additional cab features. The new truck models join the Ford Econoline and Freightliner M2 command unit versions. Inside the vehicles, there’s a communication area pre-wired for mounted radios and a white marker board for easy note keeping. Internal pathways make antenna and equipment installations simple.

Sobriety Check Vehicle

The BAT Mobile (breath/blood alcohol testing) is designed to be used by law enforcement at roadside sobriety checkpoints or other substance abuse testing sites. This 35-foot long trailer decreases the time officers spend processing drunk drivers or drug use offenders, increases the number of apprehensions and acts as a visual deterrent for potential offenders. The objective of the BAT Mobile is to provide officers with complete on-site testing and detention capabilities, as well as workstation processing and storage space. The trailer includes a command area for two officers, detainee seating with restraints, holding cell, evidence lockers, bathroom and kitchenette.

Its suspension system has been redesigned for maximum compliance and control under challenging on-and off-road conditions. The TPV pictured features a new V10 gasoline engine, complete NIJ-Level IV protection, nine gunports, electrically deployed skip plates, FLIR camera and military spec run-flat tires.

Crime Scene Lab Vehicle

Brown Specialty Vehicles has built a new mobile crime scene laboratory for its local police department—the first lab of its kind in the department’s fleet. The new Forensics Investigations Vehicle allows police to perform CSI functions in the field that are normally done in a laboratory. The vehicle is equipped with audio and visual warning systems, an emergency response system console and two additional tripod lights to allow responders to find evidence in dim-light situations. The laboratory features a computer workstation, a refrigerator for storing chemicals, a fuming hood for fingerprint recovery and aluminum drawers and cabinets for storing equipment. The 16-foot aluminum modular body is constructed from a Ford F-550 chassis, making the vehicle sturdier, safer and more durable than previous models.

Bomb Disposal Vehicle

Lenco Armored Vehicles’ BearCat EOD combines the life-saving protection of a BearCat with the functionality of a bomb disposal vehicle. The EOD has been redesigned to accommodate a large tactical robot in the vehicle’s rear compartment. The robot can enter and exit the vehicle through a curb-side ramp. Bomb technicians are then able to track the robot via a computer monitor inside the vehicle. A roof-mounted camera enhances visibility. The vehicle includes optional CBRNE (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high-yield explosives) and communications equipment designed to detect radiation and explosive gas.

Adaptable Patroller

The Segway Patroller i2 can be used indoors and out for up to 24 miles on a single charge. It’s adaptable to many patrolling applications for law enforcement, and it will maximize your fleet storage space. If you’re looking for a vehicle that will give you the ability to travel over varied terrain, consider the x2 model. It’s built just as tough and comes with knobby low-pressure tires that grip the grit. You can customize either model for your specific patrolling needs by choosing optic yellow or white reflectivity. From there, choose police or security labeling and red/blue or amber/white lights. (Pictured: x2)
