The Champlain (Vt.) College Center for Digital Investigation received a $650,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Justice s Bureau of Justice Assistance, enabling two faculty members to work with federal, state and local law enforcement investigators performing digital investigations in Vermont. Based at the Burlington Police Department, the investigators sift through digital evidence found on computers, cell phones, iPods and other digital devices. The grant also supports an online training initiative that allows the college to offer online training opportunities to members of law enforcement across the country.
