Border Patrol Agent Injured After Car Explodes

As the agent started to approach the vehicle, the car blew up & he was knocked back from the blast

San Diego East County, Calif. — A man burned to death and a Border Patrol agent was injured early Thursday after a car the agent pulled over just east of Pine Valley exploded into flames.

Border Patrol agents received a call just before midnight Wednesday that someone was driving the wrong way on Interstate 8 near Buckman Springs Road, said Justin De La Torre, acting assistant chief patrol agent.
