NEW ORLEANS -- An accident on Canal Street left a New Orleans police officer injured Thursday morning. The accident happened on Canal at Royal streets about 6:30 a.m.
Police said an SUV struck a light pole on the streetcar line. Debris from the damaged pole hit a police officer in the back, police said.
