LAUREL, Md. (AP) - Prince George's County police will conduct its third Gift Cards for Guns event.
Officers will accept guns and ammunition from residents, who will be given a gift cards valued up to $100. Firearms do not need to be functional.
The event is set Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 601 8th St., Laurel.
Residents should put unloaded firearms in the truck of their cars. A uniformed police officer will greet residents and provide instructions.
