Special Agent Aaron Garcia of the Union Pacific Railroad Police Department (UPRPD) was killed shortly after midnight May 7 in a single-vehicle accident in Mecca, Calif., while on patrol. The 39-year-old officer had served with the UPRPD for 2.5 years. He had previously served with the Calexico, El Centro, and Imperial Police Departments. He s survived by his wife, two sons, two daughters, mother, sister and brother.
