Aimpoint, the originator and worldwide leader in electronic red dot sighting technology, has announced the introduction of a new mount designed specifically for use with the company’s successful Micro T-1 sights. This new mount, known as the Micro LRP (Lever Release – Picatinny) offers the ability for users to mount the Aimpoint Micro T-1 sight on nearly any weapon by quickly changing the spacer between the mount and the sight. This modular mount system allows the use of the Micro T-1 sight on any M1913 standard Picatinny Rail, offers users the advantage of utilizing the same sight on nearly all of their firearms, and offers return to zero capabilities when the sight is removed and re-applied at the same position on the Picatinny rail.

This new mount features an adjustable release lever that is designed to close with the optimal amount of pressure on the rail, thus eliminating the danger of crushing or deforming the mount interface on the firearm. This release lever is also secured against accidental release by a positive locking detent that requires the lever to be elevated prior to being rotated for release.

Used by itself without any of the optional spacers, the Micro LRP positions the Micro T-1 sight at the perfect height for mounting on shotguns, sub-machineguns, or as a backup sight for a magnified optic by using an accessory rail. By including one of the optional 30mm spacers, the sight is optimized for use on the H&K 416 rifle. By utilizing the optional 39mm spacer, the sight is set at the optimal height for co-witness on the AR15/M16/M4 Carbine family of weapons. The Micro LRP mount also includes an integral recoil stop which absorbs the physical shock of firing the weapon and removes this stress from the mounting bolts.
