Pamela Starr

Sgt. Pam Starr has been a police officer for Dallas, Texas Police Department for the past 15 years. Prior to her work as an officer, Pam was employed as a police dispatcher at the Travis County Sheriff’s Office and also worked as an emergency medical technician in Austin, Texas. She's certified by the state of Texas as a Master Peace Officer. She's a certified instructor in: firearms, rapid response, urban tactical rifle and cross fit. 

Outside her law enforcement training, Pam earned a Bachelors of social science from Southern Methodist University where her focus was sociology and criminology. She also studied at Texas Women’s University, ultimately earning her Masters in women’s studies with a focus on women in leadership and government. 

Pam has been a bicycle patrol officer, as well as an undercover agent in the Narcotics Division. She's currently a sergeant in patrol, but continues her training and medical interests by teaching tactical medicine and self-aid and buddy-aid to officers of the police department. Her interests include physical and tactical training, especially for females, and feminist studies. She's married and has two dogs.
