Data911’s Web AVL leverages the power of cloud computing to provide a low-cost, fully hosted, automatic vehicle location solution. There is no server to maintain, and no desktop software to install or upgrade. Web AVL can be accessed from any computer in your facility or fleet with a browser and access to the Internet. The annual subscription for Web AVL is based on the number of vehicles tracked; you can create as many user accounts as needed. Getting your fully privileged, private web site up and running can take as little as a few hours to 1 week, depending on your tracking equipment and network environment. We integrated Google Maps to provide an attractive map where you can track vehicles outside jurisdiction boundaries; the satellite imagery, real time traffic conditions, terrain maps, and Street View pictures are included. Our securely hosted infrastructure is firewall protected to prohibit network access from facilities other than government or emergency response customers. Web AVL accepts real time GPS data from vehicles equipped with Windows computers and GPS modems; Data911 offers a bundled lease option using all-in-one tracking devices to track unequipped vehicles. With our multi-agency service, agencies can share the locations of selected vehicles with other Web AVL clients at no additional cost. We provide a free Integration API (application programming interface) to agencies that want to integrate CAD or another system with Web AVL. Included is a touch screen enabled interface to support mobile users with full fleet tracking and turn-by-turn navigation.
