The PF-9 is not Kel-Tec's first 9mm Luger pistol. Their original 9mm, the P-11, was itself a small handgun. At one inch thick, it was not fat. However, the folks at Kel-Tec recognized that, while it served an important role, especially for carriers of S&W pistols, they could make a more concealable pistol.
