Minnesota Officer Killed During Investigation

Cold Spring officer shot and killed

COLD SPRING, Minn. (KSTP-TV) - A Cold Spring police officer has been shot and killed while conducting a routine check on a resident. Stearns County Chief Deputy Bruce Bechtold says the male officer was killed late Thursday evening behind an apartment situated above a bar. A St. Cloud Times report says an adult suspect has been arrested but police have not released his name. Nor has Bechtold released the officer's name.
